About Nancy

Hello! I began my 30 year career in NY teaching high school high school English before moving to NC to teach grades 4 and 5. After a year teaching in England, I returned to NC where I spent the rest of my career teaching AIG students. My BA is in English and my Masters is in Elementary Education. I have certifications to teach grades 7-12 in English, K-6 Elementary, and Academically Gifted K-12. I earned and maintained National Board Certification since 2000. In addition to tutoring, I host live daily Enrichment classes in ELA . I'm looking for a job that is local for in- person tutoring, on online for Enrichment classes. I also do online tutoring for ELA. started tutoring in college. In my spare time, I like to solve crossword and Sudoku puzzles while rocking out to Springsteen. One thing you should know about me is I care. My skills include teaching vocabulary, engaging students in literary discussion through Socratic Seminar, and helping students solve math problems.
