We had the pleasure of having Monica as our in-home nanny for our daughter, G from the time she was about three months old until she was almost 16 months old. During that time, Monica cared for Gnearly full-time, and we had a wonderful experience with her. Monica is incredibly attentive, patient, dependable, and detail-oriented. From the very beginning, I felt comfortable leaving G in her care and never felt that I needed to worry while they were together. She paid close attention to Geneva’s needs throughout the day and genuinely took the time to make sure she was comfortable, happy, well-fed, hydrated, and engaged. One thing I especially appreciated was Monica’s patience around mealtimes. As any parent of a young child knows, babies and toddlers do not always want to eat what has been prepared for them. If G wasn’t interested in the lunch we had made, Monica would patiently work with her and find another healthy option rather than simply letting her go without eating. Monica is very conscientious about healthy food for herself and her own child as well, so I always trusted the choices she made for Geneva. Sometimes Geneva even preferred what Monica had brought for herself and her child, and I was always completely comfortable with her sharing because I knew it would be something wholesome and appropriate. Monica brought her own child with her while caring for G which ended up being such a positive part of the experience. The two children became very good friends, and G loved having a companion to play with every day. It gave her an opportunity to socialize from a very young age, and it was wonderful watching their friendship develop. Monica also made sure the children had active and engaging days. She played with G, took them on walks, brought them to the park, and made sure they had plenty of interaction and activity rather than simply staying inside all day. Most importantly, Monica cared for G with a great deal of patience and genuine attention. Having someone care for your child from three months old through such an important period of infancy and toddlerhood requires a tremendous amount of trust, and Monica earned that trust. We always felt that Geneva was safe, cared for, and in good hands with her. Monica was a wonderful nanny for G and a great help to our family, and we are very grateful for the care she provided during such an important stage of G’s early life. I would gladly recommend her to another family looking for a patient, attentive, caring, and trustworthy nanny.
