About Monica

Hi, my name is Monica, and I am an 8th grade Special Education and Math Learning Support teacher. I have been teaching at a local middle school for 7 years, where I help students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and reach their individual goals in a supportive and structured environment. I hold a master's degree in education and a bachelor's degree in psychology, which provide me with a strong foundation in instructional strategies, student development, and behavior support. I have extensive experience working with children ages 5 and up, and I am passionate about meeting students where they are and tailoring support to their unique learning needs. In addition to teaching, I have coached volleyball for the past six years, which has been incredibly rewarding as I get to support students' growth, teamwork, and confidence both on and off the court.
