About Monet

Hi! I'm a Spelman College and Michigan State University graduate passionate about helping students learn, grow, and build confidence. Before graduate school, I tutored middle school students in Math and History for over a year and a half, and I later taught coding to high school students during two summer programs in Michigan. I currently work as a substitute teacher in Duval County, Florida, and have also volunteered with the YMCA after-school program in Atlanta, where we focused on creative and engaging learning activities. These experiences helped me connect with students from different backgrounds, cultures, and learning styles. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each child's needs. I enjoy making learning approachable, encouraging curiosity, and helping students feel comfortable asking questions. I'm experienced tutoring Math, English, Science, History, Art, and beginner coding for elementary through high school students.
