I've been described as very kind, creative, and patient. I love working with kids because they have the most wonderful and peculiar view of the world. I started working with kids when I was 11. My twin brothers were born and my parents both worked full time so I became the live in nanny in a sense! It was a wonderful experience that I wouldn't trade for anything, and so I started with years of experience working with infants/toddlers. I later went on to do wilderness therapy with children ages 7-17, which was equally rewarding. I have since worked as a nanny with infants, toddlers and elementary age children for 3 years. I believe in varying parenting styles and I will work with you to ensure your child is cared for in the ways you most want them to be, and that their growth is well nurtured. We were so happy to have found Moira when we did. My 4 year old had been asked to leave his private daycare due to behavior issues that they could not resolve. My husband and I both had full time jobs so this was quite overwhelming and scary. Moira could not have been a better fit for my son at this time. Her background in various mental health issues/neurodivergent kiddos and therapy experience, her empathy and compassion were exactly what my son needed. She took him on fun adventures, kept him safe, and made him feel loved. She held boundaries while remaining empathetic. I am so happy we had Moira to get us through this really tricky season. She cared for him Monday-Friday 9am-5pm for about 6 months. We even utilized her for a few babysitting nights for date nights, etc. after that. If she still lived in my area I'd still be utilizing her. :)
