About Miya

I began my teaching career in NorCal where I was a HS classroom math and chemistry teacher for 10 years. I was privilege to work with mainstream learning challenged students all the way up to AP Calculus students. I stepped away from the classroom to pursue other interests but continued tutoring students of all ability in a variety of subjects for the better part of 30 years. I love the challenge of working with students that struggle, who are behind or have a learning challenge just as much as I enjoy working with students who need to be challenged beyond what their school offers. Each student's success, no matter how big or small fuels me with pride and joy. I do offer a completely free hour consult. Then you can decide if I would be a good fit foe you and your child.
