About Miya

I began my teaching career in NorCal where I was a HS classroom math and chemistry teacher for 10 years. I was privilege to work with mainstream learning challenged students all the way up to AP Calculus students. I stepped away from the classroom to pursue other interests but always have kept in close relations working with students, tutoring all ability in a variety of subjects for the better part of 30 years. I love the challenge of working with students that struggle and even hate school just as much as I enjoy working with students who are bored and need to be further challenged. Each student's success, no matter how big or small fuels me with pride and joy.
