I am an experienced nanny with infants and toddlers in the DC and Arlington VA area. In my country, I have worked for 22 years as a pediatric doctor. I have taken care of many children of different ages and I've always loved it. If you choose me to be your nanny, I'll do my best to keep your child happy and healthy! I'll engage them through playing games, reading books, learning new skills and being active outside. In the past 14 years I have taken care of many children in DC and Arlington. Mirela took wonderful care of our three month old during a date night. She kept us updated via text about how much he slept and how he was doing, and she even gave me some tips on how to relieve gas! She was so kind and loving to our baby. I highly recommend Mirela!

We hired Mirela to care for our nine week old baby, and she was with him each week until his third birthday, last week.  In that time, Mirela not only was a constant in his life, she became a family member to all of us.  As a first time parent, I personally relied on her for advice with every stage of a newborn, and each milestone through toddler-hood.  Her background as a pediatrician previously gave me such comfort.  She loved our son as though he was one of hers.  His safety, health, and happiness were her highest priorities. And oh, how my son loves her!  After three years together, we've moved, and will no longer be able to see her each week, but we know we'll visit -- she's such an important part of ours lives now.  You're in THE BEST hands if you're fortunate enough to work with Mirela. 

We hired Mirela for part-time work when our nanny took some time off. She is punctual, responsive, independent, and very loving with kids. She fed my baby, took him to the park, and was very helpful while he was teething! She even folded all of his clothes-without me asking her to do it! Will definitely hire her again.  She is a very sweet person and I felt comfortable leaving her with our baby.

My wife and I hired Mirela as a nanny for our son when he was 7 months old, and she was the first person other than us to care for him for an extended period of time. As first time parents, we were nervous, but Mirela put us at ease quickly. Two things were immediately clear, 1) Mirela LOVES children (instant connection with our son), and 2) she takes her responsibilities very seriously. Mirela was a pediatrician in her home county of Albania, so she really knows and cares about children's health and safety. She was always very careful with our son and made sure he was happy, healthy, and clean. When she'd arrive, our son would always have a big smile on his face, which made it much easier to leave for work each day. Additionally, Mirela is very professional in all respects. She was very communicative about scheduling, and we never had any issues with tardiness or absences. She worked with our family for ~10 months when we parted ways due to us moving and we all miss her greatly!

Mirela has been with our family for nearly seven years.  She has helped me raise both of our young boys and frankly, I could not have done it without her.  She as such passion and warmth and patience, that she makes every day with our children a joy to them.  Far more than that, she has been an ever present source of wisdom and stability for our kids.  We feel like the luckiest family on earth for having been together for this time.  

Mirela is a trained doctor and we have relied on her extensively to tell us when it is time to go to the doctor, or when we need to tough out a cold or a flu.  We have never had the slightest worry when working with our children in her care.  She has raised two wonderful kids of her own, whose accomplishments are so spectacular that we can only hope that our children do as well.  We love her as a family member and our kids consider her like one of their grandparents (although she is rather young to be a grandparent).

You cannot go wrong.

Mirela is incredibly upbeat and positive. She is fun and super responsible. We are so glad she could care for our two kids.
