About Miranda

I have 26 years of both paid and unpaid experience working with children from infant to the age of 18. I have experience with children with behavior problems and special needs such as intellectual disabilities, ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. When I am caring for children, I like to find hands-on and engaging activities for them to do. If we couldn't go out, I always found something to do such as doing craft activities or reading books I feel that children learn best by being active and strive to minimize screen time. When the children are napping, I do light cleaning and prepare food. I have an Associates in Early Childhood Education and have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. During the school year, I work full time as a multiple disabilities teacher. For this reason, I am only available on weekends, the summer months, and school holidays.
