About Minna

Three words to describe me are dependable, nurturing, and approachable. I've been told I'm easy to trust, and I am honored that many people have felt safe enough to open up to me soon after meeting me. I cherished all my childhood mentors; their guidance and support were gifts I want to pay forward. Nothing makes me happier than seeing kids in my life growing up. I'm the oldest grandchild on both sides of my family, so I have watched many kids growing up around me and I am still surprised daily by children I care for. I nannied to support myself in college and graduate school, during which I studied psychology, focusing on child development; I was briefly a therapist, working mostly with teenagers. My top three childcare skills are calming children, teaching them how to self-regulate, and quickly finding each child's strengths and interests and engaging them. I will always do my best to work with you and meet in the middle, especially for last minute requests or pricing accommodations.
