About Mike

My name is Mike and I have been teaching all levels of Physics for the past 25 years at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. I currently run the largest AP Physics C program in the surrounding area. Last year, over 92% of my students passed the AP Physics C exam with an average score of 4. 1 on the test. I have developed a reputation for making physics fun, clear and easy to grasp. My classes are known for their engaging, easy-to-understand style, and now, with my children growing older, I am excited to bring that same energy and expertise to to tutoring students of all levels in physics. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, kind and engaging I love helping students gain confidence in their physics class. I started tutoring in 1996 when I first got my physics teaching credential. My skills include the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear way that students understand and the ability to see where students need help in their understanding of physics.
