About Mikayla

I am a San Jose State 2020 Graduate with a BA in psychology. Previously, I received an AA degree for liberal arts/childhood development at De Anza community college. I plan to continue a career in the psychology/child development field. I've officially worked with children for 6 years. I love being a nanny and feel very passionate about applying the skills I've learned in my education career with any family I work with. I believe it's important to use my problem solving skills amongst children, understanding their needs, being patient to guide them into what it is required of them in a gentle manner, and doing all that while still including some fun! I believe childhood is an essential and crucial part of life, and being a positive influence in a child's life is an important responsibility that I don't take for granted. Working with children not only fills my cup, but it also teaches me a lot about areas I'm passionate about, so I would say I value each opportunity I get.
