Provided by Wendi S. - mother, science department head/science teacher at Port Washington High School Mikaella currently is enrolled as a freshman at Winona State University where she plays soccer for the Warriors and is studying Pre-Pharm. She is being honored at the end of this month for being a collegiate scholar athlete earning a 3.5 or higher first semester. Mikaella can be described as friendly, responsible, dependable, honest, outgoing, hardworking, mature, kind, sporty, artistic, funny, etc. While attending Homestead High School, Mikaella took honors and AP courses mixed with a variety of eclectic classes including 4 years of Spanish. She has played club soccer practically her entire life winning a state championship her senior year as well as high school sports including soccer, basketball, curling, and intramural sports teams as well. Also, while in high school, Mikaella was a participant and member of the executive board on the Relay for Life Committee, elected to National Honor Society, and a recipient of the HHS Merit Award all 4 years. For community service, she has volunteered at Crossroads Presbyterian Church VBS during many summers, tutored students with Ninth Dimension, helped with HHS summer soccer and basketball camps, and attended a service/leadership/missionary trip to Kingston, Jamaica the summer of 2013 for Pivotal Directions, Inc. In addition, she has worked in the catering business at Shully's and Larry's Fresh Market, Papa Murphy's her junior and senior year of high school, and last summer added the role of playground supervisor for Mequon-Thiensville Recreational Department. In conclusion, Mikaella would make an excellent child care provider for the summer months. Your children would be placed in very dependable hands.
