About Mikaelee

I have 11+ years of childcare experience, am CPR + first aid certified, and I have a big heart for children. I have worked with many families throughout the years; however, most recently, I was a nanny for a family with 3 girls for 3 years, starting when the youngest girls were 5 months old. Additionally, I was an assistant preschool teacher for almost 2 years at a darling yogic preschool here in Portland. As a nanny, I love to encourage children's curiosity in the world around them through imagination and play. I value emotional validation and teach children how to recognize and regulate their emotions. I model kindness and teach children consideration for other people and their environment. Activities I love to do with children are nature walks, playing at the park, getting together with other nannies and children for social play (often at parks), library story time, music at Tabor Space, etc. I adore children, and until I have some of my own, I enjoy loving on others'.
