About Mikaela

Hi, I'm Mikaela! I spend most of my time cooking, gardening, and spending time outside. I have worked as an educator with nursery age through 8th grade, and as a nanny for 6-13-year-olds. I am enthusiastic about working with all ages. Former teacher colleagues and the families I've worked for would say that I am patient and engaging with kids. I am comfortable setting firm boundaries when necessary, and I do my best to act in accordance with established norms. I have a passion for nutrition and sustainability, as my degree from UMass Amherst reflects. I love coming up with creative ways to get kids to eat more vegetables and healthy foods. If you think I could be of use in that way, let me know! I am also available for chores around the house, meal prepping, grocery shopping, and whatever other tasks might be of use to you and your family. My availability is flexible.
