About Miia

Hi! My name is Miia, and I have over three years of professional caregiving experience, including the last year working as a Program Manager in residential care. My experience includes working with children with special needs. Working with children I prioritize building connection and trust. I take the time to get to know each kiddo, learn about their personality, and help them feel safe. Every child is different, and I adjust my approach to meet their individual needs. I'm into activities that encourage the child learn, build independence, cultivate healthy self-expression, and have fun. Those can be arts and crafts, playing outside, exploring local parks, building skills through games, reading stories, or working on projects and homework. I aim to keep screen time minimal and focus on interaction whenever possible. I'm looking forward to helping create a positive, supportive environment where your kid can feel comfortable and confident, and, most importantly, have fun.
