About Michi

I have hands on experience in special education. I've worked as a paraeducator in elementary and special education classrooms, and most recently I taught an extensive support needs class at a public high school, where I also taught Japanese. I'm familiar with IEPs and know how to work alongside parents and teachers so a child's goals are supported at home and at school. I also taught English in Japan. I have a BA in Psychology from Washington State University and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from UC Davis, and I spent 13 years at home raising my own children, so I understand both the educational side and the everyday realities of family life. I'm a hard worker with lots of energy, a natural entertainer, and I have a great sense of humor. I'm also very disciplined and extremely punctual, so you can always count on me to show up on time and ready to go.
