I have experience working with my own elderly parents, as well as other elderly individuals that are not related to me, including those with dementia concerns. The services I am willing to provide are: companionship, meal preparation, grocery shopping, running errands, transportation, accompanying to appointments, cleaning, cooking, laundry, medication management, grooming, and dressing. It is my sincere joy and gratitude that I write this high recommendation for Michelle. Let me start by saying that if you're searching for the right caregiver or care companion for your loved one, Michelle is absolutely the one you want to inquire with, she's just amazing. When my mother passed in late 2021, she was survived by her eldest sister, my Auntie, who is now nearly 95. I knew that my duty was to find my Mom's beloved older sister, a care companion and caregiver. I looked on Care and immediately felt a connection to Michelle, and it just so happens that she lived very close to my Auntie. When we spoke I knew right away she was the one for this role. My Auntie was hesitant as she is a prideful New Englander and was used to her independent lifestyle. Yet when she met Michelle they bonded right away, and my Auntie was so relieved she had someone to spend time with, but also that she could now be taken to doctor's appointments and have support with her daily life needs. It has been nearly 4 years now that Michelle has been a care companion to my beloved Auntie, and I have to say honestly, if it wasn't for Michelle and her truly attentive care, I do believe my Auntie would not have lived as long as she is still. Michelle became a part of our family and became a very dear and close friend to my Auntie. She has many times gone out of her way to do whatever it took and was needed for my Auntie's care and medical needs. She has even been there for her many many times when something unexpected happened with my Auntie's health, and has sat with her countless hours in the hospital or at appointments, and has even gone so far as to make sure I was communicated with about any changes to my Auntie's health. It is difficult to find the words of adoration, respect, and love that both I and my Auntie have for her. My Auntie never had a daughter, and when she refers to Michelle, she calls her, 'her Girl', as she has so much love for her like a daughter. Recently my Auntie was moved into assisted living, which was a very hard transition for her, and Michelle was there for her every step of the way, even bringing her extra clothes and items from her apartment. Michelle has continually made my Auntie feel safe, comforted, supported and loved, as well as excited and happy about life. She has told me many times how deeply grateful she is for Michelle in her life, and how she has made my Auntie feel strong to live another day. Michelle is sweet by nature, authentic in her presence, and is absolutely patient and loving beyond measure. Not only has she made my Auntie's life more beautiful and whole with loving care, she has made my heart feel relief and comfort in knowing my Auntie is getting the best possible care and attention in a loving way, that I can't possibly imagine anyone doing a better job at it. There aren't enough stars to click in terms of rating Michelle, she deserves the entire heavens and the entirety of the universe of stars to be adequately recommended. If you are looking for a care companion for your dear loved one, please reach out to Michelle and get to know her, as you would be hard pressed to find another care companion with the Gift, kindness and selflessness, as well as the true 'Servant's Heart of an Angel', that Michelle naturally exudes and gives. I hired Michelle J. to be a caregiver for my 80 year old mom, who has Alzheimers and Parkinsons. Upon hiring Michelle, we quickly knew that we had made the right decision. She has been so patient, calm and kind to my mom. Her communication skills are outstanding and she really goes above and beyond to keep us informed about her time with my mom. Michelle was great is helping with my mom's personal care and bathing.  She did arts and crafts, which my mom loved, and she also made sure that my mom did her daily exercises, which my mom did really like (lol). We would still have Michelle caring for my mom, but we decided to have her move to another state to live with another family member. My mom is going to miss her greatly, as they have become close friends.

I hired Michelle to to be a companion for my father, 93, in his nursing home and to be our eyes and ears on the ground since I live several hours away. She is so kind, compassionate, patient and responsible. She quickly established a wonderful relationship with my dad and he really trusted her. She is proactive and communicative which I very much appreciated. She would notice slight differences in his behavior or care and take immediate action both at the home and texting with me to let me know. She got my father out of his room and outside, to activities and found some friends for my dad to play games with which he loved. Michelle took care of my dad for almost a full year until his passing. She was invaluable.

I am writing this note of recommendation for Michelle J., who was my care taker from Care.com for two months. Michelle was always kind and compassionate. She completed light household chores, did my grocery shopping, and weeded my garden. She encouraged me to do more exercises to help me deal with my Parkinson's disease and took me to doctors' appointments.  In addition, she took her job seriously and was dependable, flexible and positive. I loved seeing photos of her family and sharing my family with her as well. I would rate Michele as a first-class aide!

My family had the pleasure of working with Michelle for the last 15 months.  She is extremely caring, very, dependable, kind, patient and did a great job caring for my 95-year old grandmother suffering from dementia.
