About Michelle

I am a certified K-8 teacher with 30+ years of teaching/tutoring experience. I also hold a Master's in Professional Counseling with a specialty in... KIDS! As both teacher and counselor, I strive to have a great working relationship with both students and parent/parents/guardians. This includes clear communication, availability, and flexibility. Friendly and approachable, I believe goal-setting is important and so is celebrating success. Children learn in their own unique way. Sometimes, part of the battle is finding out how they learn best. I not only provide tutoring in all subjects, but also to all learning modalities: visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic to accommodate the needs of all children. I will tailor my time with your child in order to make their learning a success. I provide lots of fun games, songs, manipulatives, and visuals to help learning stick. As well as being a teacher, I am also a lifelong learner and hope to inspire your child to be the same!
