20+ years experience with kids from infants to k-8+. I've worked as a babysitter, nanny, and assistant and substitute teacher in licensed daycares, preschools and elementary schools in Illinois/Chicago and in the Asheville area since coming here. I am nurturing, playful, kind and enjoy cultivating learning and development. I enjoy working with kids because I get to explore the world alongside them, ask questions, and create safe and caring space for them to grow. In my spare time, I like to spend time outside, watch movies, be creative (writing and film/video along with hands on crafts), and learn as much as I can. I'm a licensed massage therapist working on my 3rd and final board exam for acupuncture licensing. Due to health reasons I need to work in homes that don't have must or mold! Michelle has watched my kids (7 & 4) a few times and the kids rave about her. She is kind, gentle and consistent. She plays, reads to them and will prepare meals. She will hold a boundary that you have set for your child and does it with care. She is very communicative and flexible. I highly recommend Michelle!
