Michelle cared for my father for nearly three years and eventually became his primary caregiver. She was truly exceptional.

As my father’s needs became more complicated, Michelle was always there with patience, compassion, good judgment, and an incredible ability to make him feel comfortable and respected. She understood that caring for him wasn’t just about his physical needs—it was about preserving his dignity, independence, and quality of life. She kept him engaged, smiling, and feeling like himself for as long as possible.

Michelle was dependable through everything: illnesses, changing medical needs, difficult days, and all of the unexpected things that come with caring for an elderly parent. She worked closely with our family, hospice, medical providers, and other caregivers, and gave us tremendous peace of mind.

Most importantly, Michelle became much more than a caregiver to my father. She became part of our family. The care, friendship, dignity, and love she gave him during the final years of his life meant more to us than I can adequately express.

I recommend Michelle without reservation. Any family would be extremely fortunate to have her caring for someone they love.

Her professionalism is beyond reproach. Always on time, dressed for the job, personable, fun, great conversationalist, prompt and efficient with routine and tasks. 

I had a month hospital stay due to ms, and was very weakened and out of sorts when returning home. I’m 43yrs old and have not had to have any caregivers with the effects of the disease, until this January. I was anxious and a bit ornery thinking about the process. 

We reached out to several people on care.com, and after interviewing Michelle we didn’t even contact anyone else. She is warm and positive, and very helpful. She helped clear, clean, and organize so many of the areas I was not able to, like cleaning out the closets and fridge and freezer. She would keep the house tidy and clean; doing laundry, sweeping, swiffering, dusting, changing the bed sheets.

When we got a new kitten she didn’t hesitate to help out with feeding and playtime.

Above and beyond in learning PT exercises to do with me to help my mobility. Showering and dressing were daunting, until Michelle! 

Culinarily I couldn’t say enough! She would prepare delicious breakfasts and lunch, and was so great with meal prep, too. I love to cook, but didn’t have the strength, stamina, or coordination to do all the prep for the types of meals I like to cook, so sous chef Michelle stepped in and chopped like a graduate from the CorDon Blu! 

She always had great tips for helpful tools and tricks for mobility and energy conservation. 

She is so thoughtful, too. Bringing flowers for Valentine’s Day, getting chocolates from a great candy store, sharing recipes or funny memes, even bringing some traditional Portuguese sweet bread from her culture. 

She helped put away groceries and packages, and would pick up groceries when we were out of things.

She was with us for three months and if we could have her stay for the year, we would.

If you are needing someone to care for your loved one Michelle is the ONLY choice. She came as my caregiver and left as my friend.

I hired Michelle to care for my mom. Upon meeting Michelle, my mom IMMEDIATELY took a liking to her. Michelle provided the utmost care to my mom. My mom LOVED Michelle's sense of humor and said she was "spicy". Michelle was always available if I needed her for additional hours. Michelle is the utmost professional, she is respectful, courteous and one amazing CNA. I would not hesitate in hiring Michelle again.

Michelle has experience in hospice care, palliative facilities as well as working in homes and with patients and families facing a wide range of serious and often life- limiting conditions.  She has a wonderful way  of supporting families and caring for patients preserving dignity and quality of life as they adjust to progressive illnesses and ultimately end of life.  We hold her in the highest regard! 

Michelle brings enthusiasm and energy into her work.  We hired her after we felt my Mother's caregiver of 3 years had "checked out."  She needed more stimulation. We were worried that making a change would be upsetting to mom, but 5 minutes after Michelle arrived for the interview, she said "Are you coming back?" with a huge smile on her face. Michelle kept my Mom very clean, very pampered, and very entertained.  
Michelle was only with us for two months before my mother passed away. When we hired her, we had no idea the end was near. Mom ended up in the hospital and Michelle would often meet us there to help us advocate for her. Mom came home on Hospice and my sister and I couldn't have made it through without Michelle and her medical knowledge. 
Michelle preserved my mom's dignity in her final weeks on earth.  I wish they had more time together.  I highly recommend her.

Michelle worked for me for nine months.  She came to me after a major surgery, long hospital and rehab stay.  She is medically knowledgeable, respectful, and very personable.  We clicked right away and she never made me feel like I was just part of her schedule.   She has a very good eye for detail, works very hard,  and she loved to bake goodies for us to enjoy over some good conversation.  
She motivated me to do physical therapy by doing the exercises with me. 
If you are looking for a caregiver that will treat and care for your loved one like her her own I highly recommend you hiring Michelle.

We hired Michelle to help care for my mom. She was absolutely amazing! Thorough, warm, and patient. We never worried that our mom was being well taken care of. She took superior care of mom and the house. Ultimately we ended up having to place mom in a facility but if we could have we would have had Michelle with us until Mom passed.

Michelle comes with my highest recommendation.  She treated my mother as if she was her own mother.  The care she gave my mother was professional, caring, and always above and beyond.  Michelle was part of the family.  You could not make a better hire!

My siblings and I hired Michelle to care for our 95 year old mother after our 95 year old father died. She has given exceptional care to her. Very patient and attentive to her needs. My mother can be difficult when it comes to letting people, other than family, take care of her. Michelle was very good at getting her trust and she was welcomed " into the family". The only reason she isn't still there is because we had to move mom to a nursing home, as she now requires round the clock care. Anyone who hires Michelle should feel lucky to have her.

She is our Mary Poppins. She is compassionate, competent, and friendly. She has taken care of my father-in-law for almost 2 years in our home and I have witnessed firsthand her ability to care for an elderly person with mobility problems with warmth, patience, and expertise. He really trusts her and lights up when he sees her. We have other care givers through an agency but Michelle is his favorite. We highly recommend her.
