About Michael

I just recently retired from teaching with 23 years of experience in a variety of positions. Most recently I was an independent study teacher with a charter school. I taught the English classes for 9-11th grade, but my experience also includes working with students on all subjects in independent study. Prior to that I taught history at Los Olivos for 6-8th grade, and taught at Cabrillo HS as an English and history teacher. I also lived on the East Coast for about a dozen years and taught in a variety of positions and places. I have strong experience in writing, reading and teaching literature, and creating curriculum. Moved out to the Central Coast in 1999 and ran a restaurant for a few years with my dad in Arroyo Grande. I also have a wide range of work experience outside of my teaching career. I really enjoy the experience of learning and teaching and I am looking for opportunities to work part time. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
