About Michael

Hi there! My name is Mike, and I am a 31-year-old writer and performer hoping to bring some magic into your household! I have a passion for storytelling, and there is nothing I love more than helping a child find their own voice through creativity and play. I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago and have over 9 years of experience in childcare. I most recently worked with a wonderful family in Silverlake for the past 3 years, looking after both their 2-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy. I have worked with kids ages 2-14 years old. As a camp counselor, l was in charge of writing and directing over 40 children in the camp play. I've lived in LA for 9 years, and l am a safe and cautious driver who is happy to turn any carpool into a singalong! I have a twin with learning disabilities and autism that has taught me patience and empathy from a young age. I prioritize fun w/ homework, playtime outdoors, storytelling, arts/crafts, dress-up, reading, and helping your kids write!
