About Michaela

I am a NYS certified elementary teacher and certified Literacy Specialist. I have experience working with children grades k-5. As a prior first grade teacher and current fourth grade ELA teacher, I am knowledgeable about the struggles and setbacks students face. I can support your child in phonics, writing, reading, homework and study/organizational skills. I'd describe my personality as eager, patient and kind. I like tutoring because children gain the confidence when they have a supportive coach. I started tutoring 3 years ago. One thing you should know about me is I am always on time and I provide visual supports for struggling learners.
