About Michaela

I am an experienced tutor with a background in both middle school and high school tutoring, as well as more informal coaching at the college level. For younger grades, I focus primarily on making English and social studies enjoyable and relevant, including for students with learning disabilities. Growing up, my mom was a special education teacher, and I often volunteered in her classrooms and read her graduate school textbooks! I attended a magnet -style program for creative writing. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Bioethics (medical ethics) from Mount Holyoke College, with a focus on clinical psychology, and a Master of Bioethics degree from the University of Pennsylvania. I am passionate about helping students navigate the college admissions process and become stronger writers who can make their own voices shine.
