About Mia

I have experience inside Elementary classrooms, K-5 and work with students on my own, with and without learning disabilities. I find joy in discovery is the cornerstone of my teaching practice. With three years of experience supporting elementary students in Math, English, and study skills, I focus on building genuine confidence rather than rote memorization. I adapt my approach by observing how you interact with new material, utilizing visual aids, hands-on activities, and open dialogue to suit your unique needs. Whether we are tackling test preparation or exploring art and dance, I connect concepts to your personal interests to keep you engaged. I believe clear communication with parents and students creates a collaborative environment where everyone thrives. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a complex concept finally clicks remains the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to supporting your academic journey and celebrating your growth as we learn together.
