About Mia

Hi there! I am a SPED paraprofessional finishing up my elementary teaching certification! My work experience with children is vast. Currently, I teach students ages 4-12 who have developmental , social, and cognitive disabilities or delays. I have been a private nanny, babysitter, and tutor for many years. I have my BS in Psychology, with a focus on child development. While in college, I worked in college at a disability and testing center where I provided assistance to adult students with physical and cognitive disabilities. All that to say, I have a lot of patience, energy, and love to give. My passion runs deep for learning, teaching, connecting with the outdoors, and being a kid always. I am, and will always be, a child at heart. I am a reliable, creative, out-of-the-box thinker who, when given the opportunity, loves to create engaging, enriching activities. I form relationships with kiddos by establishing trust, setting firm boundaries, and being consistent.
