I cared for my grandfather daily after school-both companionship as well as rotating, using the lift, food prep, medication administering, etc. When my mom had a PICC line, I was taught by the nurses how to administer medicine and care for the line several times a day. My aunt owned a nursing home where I volunteered during summers to help with companionship and exercise for patients from all walks of life and medical issues (amputees, dementia, Alzheimers, etc).
