About Melody

I am a career educator with over two decades of classroom and leadership experience, dedicated to helping elementary students build academic confidence. I began my teaching career in NYC schools before relocating to Charleston in 2005. For nearly two decades, I proudly served the families and schools within the Charleston County School District as an educator, interventionist, and instructional leader. Today, I work at Lexia, partnering with school districts across the Southeast to leverage our blended learning reading programs to boost student literacy rates. In addition to holding a Master's degree in Elementary Education and in K-12 Administration, I am a certified Children's Yoga Teacher and trainer. I currently teach classes locally at Holy Cow Yoga.
