About Melissa

Accomplished high school teacher, coach, and military veteran, with over 15 years of proven experience in instructing, mentoring, and motivating all types of individuals to perform their best. Seeking to teach, develop, and strengthen students skills and knowledge in subjects they are struggling in or want to learn more about. I am a certified teacher (CA credential), with a Master's in Secondary Education and I have the ability to work with students with an IEP/Special Education, ESL-language assistance, and students who may just be unmotivated or need some confidence building and practice. On top of that, I have helped many students get prepared for college and get into the universities of their dreams. I take joy in seeing others learn and overcome barriers to become their best. I am very engaging and will do my best to tailor the content to the student and their interests--I aim to not be "boring" and to peak your child's interest in whatever we are doing.
