About Melissa

In college I worked 2 years at adult foster homes providing personal cares and homemaking support. Out of college, I was employed 5 years at a day program providing enrichment activities such as programming and community outings to adults with developmental disabilities. I moved my way up to also provide training to other staff on direct support and paperwork. I worked with people on their individual goals and making sure individuals days at our program were person-centered. I have a niece who just turned 1 whom I babysit often. I can cook, clean and prioritize tasks. My 5 years working with adults with DD gave me many skills including teaching and planning activities.
