About Melissa

I have worked with children for over 20 years. I have babysat, nannied multiple times only leaving because of moving, and have worked in daycares. I have 5 young children of my own and am homeschooling 4 of them this year. I have spent many years studying infant and young child development as well as studying toward receiving my Child Development Associates. I love playing with and encouraging growth with these young children and partnering with their family in that development! I am a strong believer in learning through play and the importance of reading books and creating together, even with the babies! I am currently looking to care for 1 to 3 children (preferably siblings) in my home Monday through Friday. They would join our family in everything we do from learning, to playing, to trips to nature centers, libraries and parks. That said, I would not charge as much as a regular nanny. I would love the opportunity to partner with your family in providing the care your family desires!

Melissa is one of the most committed and hard working people I know. She's very generous, has a heart for children, and is fun loving. She's great with kids and has creative and exciting ideas to keep them interested, and she's always looking for new ways to help them learn. She is a learner herself, and is devoted and intentional to gaining ideas from others to increase her knowledge on child psychology and the best child care possible. I would definitely trust my own kids with Melissa, and any children I've met have loved her! I you're looking for someone who is childlike, loves children and gets along with them well, Melissa is a great, nurturing care giver! You would be greatly blessed to have her!
