I have been a family assistant for the past year, helping with all sorts of odds and ends. I would do all of the grocery shopping and light food prep, run errands, help with transportation, schedule and oversee any maintenance appointments, weekly cleaning, laundry, dishes, keeping the house organized, vehicle maintenance, watering the plants, party and event planning/hosting, etc. The family I had been working for has moved away, so now I'm looking for something similar. For the past 6 years I have been working part time for a fun family of four. She will call me and ask me to "organize her life". So I will spend a day to go through all the closets and the kitchen cabinets, etc. Straighten everything up, de-clutter where I can and make things look nice and tidy. She usually has a list of errands for me as well. Making returns to different stores, picking up the dry cleaning, stopping at the post office, bring art work to be framed and helping with the shopping. I also watch their house and pets when they go on vacation. They love coming home to a clean and organized house!
