About Melissa

I'm passionate about helping students unlock their unique potential and achieve academic success. With three years of tutoring experience and some college education, I tailor my approach to fit each student's individual learning style. I vary my teaching strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I break down complex problems into manageable steps to build momentum. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and progress. Regular updates help parents stay informed and reinforce learning at home. I tutor math, science, test preparation, dance, sports & fitness, and study skills. I work with elementary, middle, high school, and college students. I am CPR and First Aid certified. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and seeing their confidence grow is incredibly rewarding. I would love to help you with any of your students!
