About Melissa

Hi! I have about 2. 5 years of hands-on experience caring for my grandmother, who has Alzheimer's. Helping my family care for her taught me so much about elderly care, patience and empathy. I helped with her daily routine, including medications, changing clothes, bathing, meals and companionship. We did puzzles and other activities to keep her engaged, and I also took her to an adult day care center where she could socialize and enjoy activities with other seniors. Caring for her showed me how important it is to make someone feel safe, comfortable, respected and cared for. I truly enjoy spending time with older people, listening to their stories, talking with them and finding little ways to make their day better. I'm responsible, caring, patient and always willing to learn and adapt to each person's needs. In my spare time, I love reading, writing, doing crafts, hiking and learning new languages. I'm also a big movie lover, so I'm always down for a good movie!
