About Genny

My background is not in senior care, other than being my grandmother's sole caregiver for about 7 years. She suffered from dementia and congestive heart failure, along with some other issues. As with her, I enjoy talking about the news and watching a good movie. I believe in treating the elderly with compassion and respect. I was a weekly volunteer in a nursing facility in NY, where I sang old songs during music time, wheeled them to the beauty shop, and helped find bingo numbers on their cards. I am also willing to be a quiet sitter if someone is not able to communicate, and will sit in hospital environments. I am a self-published children's book author, and have worked as a substitute teacher. I have volunteered in numerous capacities, with the elderly and with children. I am NOT an LPN or registered nurse.
