About Melissa

As someone who struggled with math until adulthood, I relate to kids who feel 'stupid' in their own classes. I strived to be the math teacher I needed when I was that age. I take pride in being able to break down difficult concepts into easy to understand chunks. I build confidence and together we make progress! I am outgoing, friendly, and supportive. I like to listen to music, write, draw, do crafty things, and play video games in my spare time. I can always find something to connect with another person over. One thing you should know about me is that I am very patient but I don't tolerate those who don't try. It's incredibly difficult to help someone who won't help themselves. My skills include explaining things multiple ways; teaching/tutoring various subjects at different levels; and being able to provide materials that make studying easier.
