About Melissa

Level one fingerprint clearance card, BLS, First Aid and CPR certificated. For the past 20 years I have provided compassionate care and support to individuals and their families within the SMI behavioral health field both inpatient and outpatient as well as my FIL with dementia. I have worked with children teaching 2 years and with special needs including autism, down syndrome and learning disabilities. I specialize in crisis, dual diagnosis, and behavioral needs including teaching and guidance with ADL' and ILS, coping skills and medication management. My college degree in Psychology has provided a strong foundation for my work. I offer respite care, hospice services, light housekeeping, meal preparation, dementia care, medical management, and mobility assistance. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle confusion with patience. I prioritize earning trust and maintaining open communication with families.
