About Melanie

For the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of working with learners of all ages, including kindergartners taking their first steps into education to senior citizens pursuing lifelong learning. I teach with patience and empathy, and with the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. My goal is to ensure that my students gain both understanding and confidence. Throughout my teaching career in both public and charter schools, I've taught with a variety of curricula and instructional programs. Rather than following lessons word for word, I adapt instruction to meet each student's unique learning style. I've taught in both general and special education classrooms across every grade level and every core academic subject. I've helped students prepare for New York State Regents Exams, the SAT, and the ACT while supporting learners with a range of abilities and learning styles. I believe every student can access challenging material and achieve success.
