About Melanie

Hi! I'm Melanie, a student at the University of Florida studying Microbiology with the goal of becoming a pediatrician. I have over two years of experience working with and teaching students, including tutoring in STEM and English and working as an after-school teacher with elementary-aged children. I'm patient, encouraging, and believe that learning should feel approachable rather than stressful. I enjoy breaking difficult concepts into simpler steps and adjusting how I explain something based on how each student learns best. I can help with homework, studying, reading and writing, science, and other elementary and middle school subjects. I'm also bilingual in English and Spanish, so I'm comfortable working with students in either language. As a current college student myself, I understand how overwhelming school can sometimes feel, and my goal is to help students become more confident and independent in their learning, not just finish an assignment.
