Hi! Kids call me Mel, I like to be thought of as a friend. I have over 20 years experience working with children, which includes day care, schools, and 1-on-1. I hold education in high regards, and incorporate it in all my care giving sessions. I also know my way around a kitchen, the garden and a toolbox. My background in Fine Art education means your child (or you) will always have access to quality art instruction if desired. I am also musically talented and have basic knowledge of the flute, piano, and guitar and reading music. Speaking of reading, I have an extensive collection of children's literature and make sure to always have a few good books on hand. I have a sweet 9-year-old girl of my own and together we enjoy traveling, exploring and learning. My experience in both life and care giving has taught me to always be prepared and think on my toes. My creativity helps me to solve problems, avoid boredom, and entertain. I look forward to you welcoming me into your home.
