About Mekayla

I recently graduated from North Carolina A&T with a degree in Psychology, where I gained strong experience working with children through both my coursework and professional roles. In my current position as a Registered Behavioral Technician with ABS Kids, I work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum, helping them build social, motor, and emotional skills while also collecting data and supporting their progress. Alongside that, I've had past babysitting experience, which has taught me the importance of patience, communication, and adaptability when caring for kids of different ages. My background in psychology and child development gives me a strong understanding of children's needs, and my CPR certification ensures I'm prepared to respond in case of an emergency. Overall, I enjoy creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments for children to thrive.
