I'm 22 years old, and have professionally working in the homes of children with special needs since I was 18. I grew up with a sister with down syndrome who is non verbal and non mobile yet so much more than that, and I have a passion for helping children grow and learn to lean on their strengths. Growing up in this community and choosing this career has given me so much insight, such as learning that EVERYONE can communicate, you just need to pay attention. I am empathetic, intuitive, kind, patient, and always willing to learn. I am no where near fluent in ASL but I'm somewhat efficient and pick up new signs quickly. I'm friendly and while I may come off shy until I get to know people, that doesn't stop me from efficiently doing my job and ensuring both safety and stability. I communicate well and can quickly adapt to and changes. I am ALWAYS open to learning and love to make appropriately strong connections with my clients and families.
