About Mega

Ahoy! I'm Mega, aka not your average teacher. I've been teaching for 4. 5 years. My teaching career began abroad teaching English as a Foreign Language, and I've taught students of all ages. Teaching a complex language to folks who speak a different native language was so enriching, and I believe it gave me more skills and aptitude than a stateside job ever could. I was also a substitute teacher for Mpls Public Schools where I taught a broad spectrum of subjects, did general classroom, and special ed. My teaching style: always ask the student questions; I've found that this empowers students and motivates them to give their best effort. I'm well-versed in both mental *and* emotional support. Connecting with students is important to me because learning is difficult journey for many. I'm not only a teacher, but also a cheerleader for those embarking on a new path of learning.
