My experience with special needs assistance is a proud aspect of my life, as my personal background involved care for several individuals on the Autism spectrum. My parents raised me to be very cognizant of the needs of others, as they worked in teen/adolescent and adult psychiatric care and case management for 30+ years. I am adaptable, patient, and empathetic without speaking down to those who might need to operate with assistance. I encourage communication between families, as I know every individual's needs are different, and my goal is to always make someone comfortable, especially if receiving new help is seen as a change in routine.
