About Megan

I'm reliable, flexible and patient and looking for families to match with! I love kids' perspectives on life. They have such curiosity and excitement for the world and it's so rewarding to help them learn and grow. I'm looking for a symbiotic relationship between families and myself. Communication and working together is crucial to childcare! I started babysitting in high school and have since worked in various professional settings as a nanny, a paraeducator for K-8th graders, and as a preschool teacher. In my spare time, I like to cook and bake, read, play games, hike, hang out with my dog and 2 cats, and watercolor. I have a WFH job ~30 hrs /week that gives me flexibility. I miss working with kids and being out in the world. I'd love to be a regular call for care and am open to a longer term position for the right fit. I strive to maintain a balance of fun and structure. I've learned most kiddos thrive with routine coupled with a fun, creative and engaging environment!
