About Megan

I have a deep love of the process of learning - often, it is easier and more fun with someone else to help. I love to be that person! I started tutoring in high school with peers my age. Since then, I have tutored from age 4 to 40 in subjects like elementary math, middle school biology, any level English (including ESL), and especially Spanish. I was a Spanish teaching assistant in the language department at Kenyon College for two years. I taught introductory and intermediate Spanish classes, focusing on grammar and language production (speaking and writing). I believe in varying activities to increase a student's interest in learning a difficult subject: I have an arsenal of learning games, worksheets, activities, lesson plans, and strategies that I am excited to use. One of my favorite parts about tutoring is that I can give my students individual attention and tailor my teaching for their learning styles. I set learning goals and don't give up until we reach them!
