About Meagan

I have spent the last 2 years working as a Kindergarten teacher. My favorite aspect of the job is teaching phonics and helping students discover the love of reading and exploring! I would love to help your child develop strong phonetic skills that engage their minds and make it fun to learn and grow. My approach is the classical model of education founded on Spalding phonics instruction - Writing Road to Reading. I have seen this approach be so beneficial in my student's growth, that I believe it's one of the best ways to teach students! Even though I won't be in the classroom full-time next year, I would love to one-on-one tutor and teach your child to read as well as tutor math if need! Whether your child is 2/3 years old just starting or needing extra support in the older grades - I would love to step in. I also taught elementary Art for a year and loved it - so if your child needs more hands on and creative exploration, I am yours!
