About Mazzie

I grew up as an oldest sibling helping my mother raise my younger brother and sister. I worked as a summer camp counselor where I tended to 10+ children on a daily basis from ages ranging from 5 to 13. I like working with kids because it helps bring out the childhood in me. I feel a sense of belonging when caring for children. One thing you should know about me is I am a very fast learner. I can multi-task on a variety of levels, and know all the ways from housekeeping and errand running to keeping kids occupied and happy. My skills include communication, patience, and engagement. I know how hard it is to reach kids sometimes when trying to get a message across, I listen carefully to their needs and make sure I keep good communication with the parents as far as their needs and the children's needs. I stay calm during challenging moments and give children time to grow at their own pace. I also create various activities for kids based on their age range and what they like to do.
