About Mazy

Hi family. My name is Mazy, and I have 6 years of professional experience working with children in elementary schools, Montessori programs, after-schools, daycare centers, and private childcare. I specialize in early literacy support, with a deep passion for phonics, reading, and writing. What began as homework help grew into tutoring Pre-K and Kindergarten students who needed extra support building foundational reading skills. I taught multiple first graders to actually read for the first time and helped them learn to write their names and master basic arithmetic. Watching children sound out letters on a paper a week after once being too scared to admit they couldn't read has been the most rewarding experience of my career by far. I have a patient, peaceful, and positive nature I am available for afternoon and evening sessions in the University Park area. I can't wait to hear from you!
