Hey, there! I'm excited to start this journey with your family. I'm a master's student at Penn, and I have experience working with children and adolescents. I am fully COVID-19 vaccinated and stay current on my flu shots. Most recently, I've babysat (recurring and one-time) toddlers and older children. Before this, I worked full-time at a residential (live-in) mental health treatment center for children/adolescents. I did everything from therapeutic programs to homework help and getting ready in the morning! Before this, I nannied two children--ages 9 and 11. I also babysat a toddler (18 months old) and two boys (ages 7 and 11). While pursuing my bachelor's, I volunteered with the Homeless Children Playtime project in DC. We engaged in "playtime" activities for small children (ages 6 and under) as an intervention to reduce the impact of trauma. The money I earn goes toward my grad school studies. I am experienced in jobs requiring meal prep, homework help, crafts. Let's do this!
Mayowa worked with our nine and eleven year old in the after-school/camp hours and some evenings for five months over the summer. She was a welcome addition to our family as she was very conscientious, friendly, resourceful, helpful and dependable. We trusted her implicitly and will keep using her when she is available for babysitting.
